Rebecca L. McDowall-Linn, 53, resident of Clear Lake, MN, passed away on January 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 12:00 pm noon with Rev. Jeremy Ploof and Deacon Rick Scheierl officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rebecca was born July 11, 1959 in St. Cloud to William and Helen (Mitchell) McDowall. She graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1977. She later attended St. Cloud Technical College and graduated with a degree in Architectural Drafting. Rebecca worked for several local Design Engineering and Architectural companies before owning her own design company, Innovative Drafting and Design. Rebecca was passionate about many things in life, but first and foremost she was passionate about her children. Rebecca was a talented draftsman, gifted knitter and cared deeply for her two beloved dogs Violet and Milo.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Kenneth Linn of Clear Lake, children Michael, Cassandra and Matthew of Clear Lake, father William McDowall and wife Kathleen, brothers and sisters Michael (LaDonna) McDowall of Becker, Marie (Terry Toenjes) Hansen of Farmington, William (Julie) McDowall of Farmington, Stuart McDowall of Clear Lake, and Barbara (David) Linn of St. Cloud. Brothers and sisters in-law Diane (Jay) Augst of Ramsey, David (Barbara) Linn of St. Cloud, Nancy (Mack) Jackson of San Antonio, Roger (Lori) Linn of St. Joseph, and Sue (Michael) Linn-Hasbrouck of Sauk Rapids. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother Helen M. McDowall, sister Teresa A. McDowall-Umerski, and her father and mother in-law Donald F. & Melba M. Linn.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Coborn's Cancer Center and the St. Cloud Hospital.
