April 25, 1933 - April 11, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Roger William Ohmann. Roger died Wednesday, April 11 at Wellstead of Rogers surrounded by his family after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's. Rev. Robert Rolfes will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call TODAY (Thursday) from 4:00-8:00pm at the church and one hour prior to mass on Friday. Parish prayers will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Roger was born in St. Cloud to Charles and Irene (Koeppers) Ohmann. On February 14, 1953 he married Margaret Morneau at the Catholic Church in Dayton. Roger was a lineman and dispatcher for NSP until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church, St. Augusta, where he served as a cantor for many years. He was also a life-long member of the Ohmann choir. A "jack of all trades", Roger was a handyman, master craftsman, gardener, bird watcher and hunter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Rogers is survived by his loving wife, Margaret of 59 years; their nine children, Mary (Tom) Gustafson of St. Cloud, Christine Wilson of Holland, MI, Nicholas (Missy) of St. Augusta, Anthony (Dana) of Roseville, CA, Thomas of St. Cloud, Michael (Diane) of Cold Spring, Julie (Daniel) Burns of Duluth, Ann (Rodney) Schwagel of Cold Spring, Amy (Daniel) Scheller of Shoreview; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (James) Stein of Bradenton, FL and Judy Brennan of St. Paul.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Grace Margaret Scheller.
