Esther Bertha Louisa Kjormoe, age 94, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Elim Home in Princeton. Esther was born in Princeton Township to Herman "Bill" and Emma (Schlesner) Mueller on September 24, 1919. She was united in marriage on June 18, 1941 to Lloyd Dixon at Princeton United Methodist Church. In 1956, Lloyd passed away in a truck accident. Esther was later united in marriage to Arthur Kjormoe on August 22, 1964 at Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Big Lake. After school, she nannied for families and worked in the kitchen at the Elim Home and for over 20 years at Princeton Public Schools. She was also a waitress at the Princeton Livestock Market.
Esther took delight in cooking and baking. She was often entertaining family and friends and was known for always having coffee on. Esther loved to visit Mission Lake and Lake Superior. She also liked to crochet; especially loved the holidays and spending time with her family.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Quentin) Hendricks of Princeton; grandchildren, Tammy (John) Creasy of Princeton, Wendy Hendricks of Sartell and Ron Hendricks of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Matt & Jeremy Creasy of St. Cloud; three nieces and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and sisters, Vivian Rice and Evelyn Fiebing.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton. A Prayer Service with Chaplain John Talvitie will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Princeton Evangelical Free Church on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Dan Osborn will officiate and burial will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton.
