Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, for Albert "Al" Weinmann, age 96, of Long Prairie, who died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Cherrywood Assisted Living in Richmond. Fr. Mark Willenbring will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Long Prairie. Friends and family may call from 9 am Monday until the time of the service at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home-Stein Chapel, Long Prairie.

Al was born to Anna (Woeste) and Ed Weinmann on March 13, 1917 in Elrosa, Minnesota. Al married Bernice Maerz on May 4, 1943 in Long Prairie. The couple farmed near Long Prairie for many years. Al enjoyed dealing in livestock, deer camp and hunting with family, playing cards and visiting. Al loved spending time with family, especially his great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Roger, three grandchildren, Paul (Marlene), Jon, and Angie (Adam); five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Cora, Emmett, and Benson; and siblings, Delores Schiemann, George Weinmann, Jerry Weinmann, Regina Felling, and Alice Schmit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bernice, infant daughter Mary, and siblings, Joe Weinmann, Anna Speldrich and Ludvina Kampsen.
