Curtis "Curt" L. Michaletz, 77

Clear Lake

Sept. 29, 1936 - Mar. 17, 2014

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at South Santiago Lutheran Church, Clear Lake for Curtis "Curt" L. Michaletz, age 77, who passed away Monday at his home. Rev. Michael Pancoast will officiate and burial will be private at the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Becker.

Curt was born Sept. 29, 1936 in Robbinsdale to Leonard & Credella (Shaw) Michaletz. He married Carol Hille on June 28, 1958. They have lived in the Clear Lake area since 1976. Curt worked as a machinist for NSP for 31 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of South Santiago Lutheran Church. He enjoyed volunteering and was always available for his church and community. Curt was a "tinkerer", enjoyed fixing things, and woodworking for his home and the church. He was a humble person who was a perfectionist, very smart, thoughtful, and a problem solver.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of Clear Lake; children, Cindi (Jim) Scamfer of St. Paul, Shele (Tony) Skelton of Big Lake, Steve (Becky) Michaletz of Aitkin; brother and sister, Lyle (Dianne) Michaletz of Mantorville and Kathy (John) Hanson of Moose Lake; grandchildren, Chad, Chris, Jesse, Tyler, Mikayla, Ellie, and Garrett; and step grandchildren, Andy and Amber. Curt was preceded in death by his parents.
