Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids for Duane E. Wruck, age 72, who passed away Friday at his home. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the services Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
Duane was born June 29, 1941 in St. Cloud to Ervin & Lucille (Barthel) Wruck. He married Joyce Sweeter on Feb. 18, 1961 in Waukegan, IL. Duane was a farmer and lived most of his married life in the Foley area. He also worked for American Can Co. in Milwaukee, WI when he and Joyce lived there for a short time. Duane had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting, feeding and watching birds and the summer season. He loved word finds, the History Channel, and playing cards and dice with his group of friends. He was a hardworking, honest, straight forward man who enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Foley; son and daughter, Jeffrey (Leslie Clark) Wruck of Oak Point, TX and Candace (Pat Balder) Wruck of Maple Grove; brothers and sisters, Gerald (Betty Harry) of Sauk Rapids, Darlene (Tom) Chock of Grey Eagle, David (Bonnie) of Rice, Shirley Leyk of Waite Park, Kathleen Gratke of Sauk Rapids, Patrick of Grey Eagle, Brian of Sauk Rapids, Sandra (Tom) Schmitz of St. Cloud; sisters-in-law, Sheila Wruck of Brooklyn Park and Jayne Wruck of Sartell; and grandchildren, Alex Wruck, Ashton, Isabella, and Chloe Balder. Duane was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Larry; and brothers-in-law, Jim Leyk and Gene Gratke.

I will miss seeing Duane at the gilman liquor store or in his garage with his dog. He always had a smile and a beer for me! I will never forget the joke we played together on his wife.
