Leonard "Lenny" W. Trigg, 84

St. Cloud

March 6, 1930 - April 30, 2014

Memorial Services will be 5:00 PM Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Leonard "Lenny" W. Trigg who passed away Wednesday at the V.A. Medical Center in St. Cloud.  Nick Hall will preside and burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls on a later date.   Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Lenny was born in Verdi, Minnesota to Lindsy and Anna (Bruns) Trigg.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1951 - 1953.  Lenny married Phyllis Rorick in Willmington, California on July 2nd, 1959 and the couple raised four children.  After living in California, the family moved back to Minnesota and they retired in St. Cloud.  Lenny worked as a fork lift operator for the Super Value Warehouse in Hopkins for many years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Teamsters Local 544.

Lenny was a quick witted man who loved being around other people telling jokes and playing cards.  He also was a nature lover and would recite the poem "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer to his grandchildren as well as feed and watch birds.  Along with watching golf, the MN Twins and Vikings, Lenny was a big horse racing fan.  He especially loved the Kentucky Derby and attended Canterbury Downs.

Lenny will be missed by his survivors, wife, Phyllis; children, Jolene (Brad) Koskie of Savage, Greg (Diane) Trigg of St. Cloud, Deanna (Gerry) Lipinski of Hewitt, and Darin (Bonnie) Trigg of Foley; siblings, Marian Trigg of Pipestone, Bernice Whitaker of Norwood, Darlene Meyer of Pipestone, Ray Trigg of Lake Benton, and Bob Trigg of Verdi;  grandchildren, Kevin, Adam, Matt, Chris, Alex, Michael, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Heather, Megan, and Melissa; and 2 great-grandchildren, Lilah and Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Trigg; and step-grandchild, Lukas Koskie.
