Mary Lou Maleska, 58

Sauk Rapids

August 4, 1955 - May 6, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Mary Lou Maleska, age 58, of Sauk Rapids who passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the church in Sauk Rapids and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday morning. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

Mary Lou Maleska was born on August 4, 1955 in St. Cloud to Gregory and Beatrice (Riedeman) Maleska.  Mary Lou worked as a Retirement Planning Assistant for DeGraaf Financial for 18 years and also worked for Prudential for 21 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and volunteered as an usher, greeter and in hospitality. Mary Lou also served on the board of directors for the Bowling Association, was a member of the St. Cloud Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #622, USBC and volunteered at the St. Cloud Hospital. She enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Survivors include her sisters and brothers, Annette Maleska of Sauk Rapids, Gerry Maleska of Sauk Rapids, Diane (Doug) Waldoch of Mound, Kevin (Janet) Maleska of Rice, Karen (Kevin) Gribble of Sauk Centre and Jim (Jackie) Maleska of St. Joseph; nieces and nephews, Amanda (John) Burgess, Jennifer (Darren) Adamak, Adam, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Johnathan and Michael Maleska and Kayla Gribble; and great nephew, Henry Adamak.  She was preceded in death by her parents and significant other, Gerry Stock.

Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clare Monastary, Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls and the Coborn Cancer Center.
