Louise "Lou" Spaulding, 94

Waite Park, MN

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Louise "Lou"Spaulding, 94, of Waite Park will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park.  Lou passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Reverend Mark Innocenti will officiate.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.  Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lou was born on November 20, 1919 in St. Cloud to the late Louis and Clara (Hunck) Wesselman.  She married Lloyd L. Spaulding on May 22, 1946  at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud and has lived in Waite Park since 1947. Lou was employed at Ivan's in Waite Park for many years.  She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and past member of St. Joseph's Christian Women.

Lou enjoyed fishing and her last fishing trip was to Mille Lacs lake at the age of 92.  She was a very social person and loved to dance.

She is survived by her daughters, Eunice (Rod) Schultz of St. Cloud, Karen (Don) Supan of St. Stephen, Audrey (Jonathan) Wittnebel of Brainerd, Mary Kay (Jim) Thompson of LeSueur, Diane (Tim) Goenner of Clear Lake; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Walter Wesselman of Waite Park; and sister-in-law, Janet (Bernie) Saggau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd in June 1987; son, Chuck in November 1987; brothers, Cletus and Ralph Wesselman; and sisters, Elaine Imholte, Rita Lundstrom and Imelda Osgood.

Memorials are preferred.
