"Nette" Brutger, 83, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Cathedral Upper Church in St. Cloud.  Nette passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Anthony Olerich will officiate.  Private interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Visitation will be between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.  Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Nette was born on August 27, 1930 in Melrose, Minnesota to the late Adam and Elizabeth (Otte) Seep. She married David N. Brutger on October 2, 1954 at St. Boniface Church in Melrose. Nette was a loving wife and mother, raising six children. She lived all of her married life in St. Cloud and was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and the St. Cloud VFW Granite Post #428 Ladies Auxiliary.

Nette enjoyed making crafts, playing cards and board games with her grandchildren and friends. She loved professional football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. She also enjoyed planting flowers - anxiously awaiting spring each year. She treasured time spent on Pearl Lake.  She loved animals and the birds and squirrels never went hungry in her yard. She will be remembered for making the best stovetop popcorn. Above all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren attending as many of their school functions as possible.

Survivors include her children; Sandra Glass-Lenertz (Tom) of Fargo, ND, Catherine Brutger (Joe Ruprecht) of Annandale, Karin (Joe) Ziebol of St. Joseph, Judy Winter (Tom "Gus") of St. Cloud, Jane (Tom) Henkel of Luxemburg, and Scott Brutger of St. Cloud.

Her legacy continues with her 16 grandchildren, Stephanie (Aaron) Walski, Tyler, Andrew (Devon) and Nicholas Glass, Stacie (Mark) Braun, Heather (Scott) Ergen, Angela, Brent and Brian Ziebol, Holly and Alex Winter, Jordan (Rob) Quayle, Taylar (Andy) Lehmkuhl, McCall and David Henkel and Taylor (Christopher "Topher") Thompson; two step-grandchildren, Rory and Tara Lenertz; and eight great-grandchildren, Kali, Alec and Adam Braun, Cameron and Josie Ergen, Reagan Quayle, Jarrett and Sawyer Lehmkuhl.

She is also survived by brother, Donald (Jean) Seep of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David 2006; brothers and sisters, Elmer and Cy Seep, Dorothy Kilian, Irene Stalberger and Angie Gohl.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

A Very Special Thank You to our dear friend and mom's loving caregiver, Jodie Klein.
