St. Cloud

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Carolyn T. Baker, age 95 of St. Cloud who passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Carefree Living in St. Cloud. Reverend Jeremy Ploof will officiate. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the church. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Carolyn was born January 27, 1919 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Anthony and Gertrude (Harrington) Krafnick. She married Harold Baker on May 27, 1939 in St. Cloud. She was a member and past President of the East Side Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4847 Auxiliary and a member of St. Augustine's Parish.

Carolyn enjoyed gardening, raising her mums, tap dancing and spending time with her family at Big Fish Lake.

Survivors include her children, Dianne (David) Tomczik of Alexandria, Bill (Elizabeth) of Cold Spring and Genell (Jeff) Goerger of St. Cloud; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Todd, Tracy, Kristin, Cally, Anthony, Jennifer, Michael and Rachael; six great grandchildren and brother-in-law, Larry (Sharon) Baker of Nisswa.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers and sisters, Joyce Popilek, Ralph, James and Marjorie Kosloske.

Carolyn's family would like to thank the staff at Carefree Living and the staff and volunteers of St. Cloud Hospital Home Care and Hospice for their exceptional care and comfort.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
