Clara B. Piasecki, 89

Sauk Rapids

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Clara B. Piasecki, age 89, who passed away Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids.  Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.  Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 Auxiliary will pray at 6:00 p.m., followed by Sacred Heart Christian Mothers (St. Monica's Society) at 6:30 p.m., and parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. all Thursday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Clara was born May 29, 1925 in Palmer Township (Sherburne County) to John & Pauline (Staneck) Hennek.  She married Emil Piasecki on Jan. 15, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids.  Clara worked for the City of Sauk Rapids for 17 years, retiring in 1985.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Christian Mothers (St. Monica's Society), and Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 Auxiliary.  Clara enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and playing bingo.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail (Harvey) Kiekow of Sauk Rapids, Sheila (Glenn) Zimmer of Sauk Rapids, and Donna (Lew) Benzkofer of Sauk Rapids; son-in-law, Royce Hoffman of Minneapolis; sister, Grace Lytle of Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil on Jan. 20, 1979; daughter, Sharon Hoffman; brothers and sisters, Joe Hennek, Hank Hennek, Margaret Ritter, Marie Jensen, Laura Wick, Phyllis Hennek, and Gertrude Leabch.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
