Lois Ramona Paulsen, age 84, Sartell, MN died Wednes- day, August 27, 2014 at her home in Sartell.

A celebration of Lois's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.  A prayer service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Fr. Alfred Stangl will officiate.

Lois was born September 5, 1929 in Wheaton, MN to Lewis T. and Ruby E. (Hanson) Olson. On September 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to John E. "Jack" Paulsen at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN. Lois raised a family of twelve children and was employed by Sears and Herbergers for 22 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and backyard birds. Lois also loved to travel, Colorado being one of her favorite destinations.

Survivors include sons and daughters, Cheryl (Les) Bordelon of Yucaipa, CA; Gail (John) Merrion of Hillsboro, OR; John (Nancy) Paulsen of Sartell, MN; Pamela (Dwight) Nelson of St. Paul, MN; Carol (Tom) Paulsen of Beaverton, OR; Jill (Jim) Pundsack of Sauk Rapids, MN; Mary (Tim) Radunz of Sartell, MN; Rob (Mary) Paulsen of Rice, MN; Susie (Shannon) Paulsen-Wamhoff of Clear Lake, MN; Christopher (Karen) Paulsen of St. Cloud, MN: Joan (Jeff) Evens of Waconia, MN; David (Kathy) Paulsen of Eagan, MN: brothers and sisters, Ronald (Marie) Olson of St. Cloud, MN; Lewis (Marlene) Olson of Clear Lake, MN: Kenneth (Rita) Olson of Solvang, CA; Lucille Block of Ortonville, MN; Janice Crawford of Las Vegas, NV; 28 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and her cat, Cosmo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack on August 22, 2010, three grandchildren, David Bordelon, Mary Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson, two great grandchildren, Nolan Paulsen and Ella Kathleen Paulsen, and sister, Marlene Ballee.Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Association.
