St. Cloud

January 30, 1923 - July 3, 2011

MaryEllen (Reger) Larson, 88, of St. Cloud, died peacefully Sunday, July 3 at Sterling Park Health Care Center. She was born in Bird Island, MN to Joseph and Mary (Pfeffer) Reger. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate the life of MaryEllen with family and friends at 12:30 PM Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Reverand Al Stangl will officiate. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum, St. Cloud. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

MaryEllen graduated from North High in Minneapolis. After graduation she worked at New Brighton Defense Plant and the Green Shops. She enjoyed volunteering at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, dancing, shopping, trips to Las Vegas, trips to MN casinos and visiting with family and friends. She was never lost for words.

She married Stanley A. Stroschein and years later married Lloyd E. Larson.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Rodney) Friedrich, St. Augusta, Mary "Jo" (Randy) Eiynk, Sauk Rapids, Nancy (Tony) Schmitt, St. Cloud, Cathy (Charlie) Zullosky, St. Cloud, and son, Tom, St. Cloud, and Daughter-In-Law, Joann Larson, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren and sisters, Irene Cordalis, Scottsdale, AZ and Shirley Overline, Brooklyn Park, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son Terry, and great grandson Alexander Nicholas Patton-Sheets.

MaryEllen's family would like to give special thanks to the staff and everyone at Sterling Park Health Care Center and Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, for all the love and care given to her while she was there.
