It's been nearly 20 years since I visited Uncle Bob and the family and it really doesn't seem that long ago. It was great to see the shoe store and the pub, and also wonderful to visit with family I hadn't seen for so long. My heartfelt condolences to all.

In the 60's the coolest shoe store in St. Cloud, Mn was Robert Phillip Shoes on 7th ave.s. I, along with a couple of younger brothers had the opportunity to work at this place of business through our high school and college years. Having this job and being able to live at home allowed us to get a college education.
Robert and Phillip were great mentors for my brothers and me. They taught us how to be good citizens, husbands, fathers and businessmen. We will be forever indebted to them for their counsel and guidance at critical times in our lives.
I kept in touch with Bob and Phil over the years and they never knew when I might show up in their driveway with a fast motorcycle or unique car. they were always so glad to see me and learn of my latest adventures. I will miss those visits.
My sympathies go out to Jane and her children. I got to see many of them grow up. Your Dad was very proud of all of you.
God Bless

My deepest sympathies to all of the Ruether family. Bob was a great guy, so friendly and kind to all. I used to enjoy our chats at lunch at McRudy's, back in the day. He always had that twinkle in his eye...

Rudy & Family - You have my deepest sympathies as your father had my deepest respect. He was always a bright spot in my day when I would see him. I loved his humor & when Irish eyes were smiling.....He lived for his family, his community & his faith. May your memories bring you the laughter he would have wanted. God bless you all - Bonnie & Erik Klitzke
