Renee J. Trushenski, 91

Sauk Rapids

July 6, 1921 - Oct. 5, 2012

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids for Renee J. Trushenski, age 91, who passed away Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids. Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services Monday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Renee was born July 6, 1921 in St. Cloud to Rudolph & Dorthea (Oeschlager) Jans. She married Herbert Trushenski on Jan. 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. Renee was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed crafts, entertaining, fishing, decorating, wallpapering, sewing, painting and volunteering. Renee gave her time and talent, making many costumes for the Paramount Theatre, church banners and even traveling to Mexico to teach sewing and quilting.

Survivors include her daughter and sons, Judy Wahlberg of Fargo, ND, Larry (Julie) of Jackson, MO and Bradley of Sartell; brother, Harold (Lanice) Jans of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Tim Wahlberg of Chicago, IL, Scott (Nikki) Wahlberg of Colorado Springs, CO, Tammy (Loren) Estwick of Foley and Jesse Trushenski of Herrin, IL; seven great grandchildren; and nephews, Mark & Kert Jans. Renee was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Herbert in 1999.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice and the staff at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for the wonderful care they have provided Renee, and also the staff of Williams Dingmann Funeral Home for their assistance in planning the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Prince of Peace Lutheran School.
