Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Church of Our Lady in Manannah for Henry J. Sullivan, age 85, who passed away Wednesday at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Msgr. Francis Garvey will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday (TODAY) at Church of Our Lady in Manannah and one hour prior to the services Saturday also at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Eden Valley.

Henry was born April 4, 1927 in Eden Valley to Corneilus & Helen (Brummer) Sullivan. He married Doris Guck on June 28, 1955 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice. Henry farmed near Eden Valley and also worked at the Cold Spring Granite Quarry for 31 years. He was a member of Church of Our Lady in Manannah where he was very active. Henry enjoyed farming, fishing, cutting wood, traveling with family, summer cabin trips, and spending time in the fields. He was so generous and had such a big heart, he was always there when anyone needed assistance with anything! Henry loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a very strong faith and was a wonderful man who was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife, Doris of Eden Valley; sons and daughters, Jeff of Eden Valley, Daniel (Janet) of Watkins, Bonnie (Dan) Topp of Eden Valley, and Brenda (Greg) Thielen of Eden Valley; sisters and brother, Anna Marie Topp of Watkins, Margaret Wendroth of Watkins, and Tom Sullivan of Foley; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Mary Ackerman, Johanna Becker, George Sullivan, and an infant brother.
