Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud for Katherine "Kay" Hartman Pattison, 93, of St. Cloud who died Friday, January 11, 2013 at St. Benedict's Center. Rev. Darin Seaman will officiate and burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud; and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Kay was born on October 4, 1919 in Duluth to Telford and Pearl (Bruce) Hartman. She married John B. Pattison on July 27, 1942 in Duluth. Kay was a member of First Presbyterian church. She was a Chemical Dependency Counselor at the St. Cloud Hospital, and active as a hospital volunteer. Kay also volunteered at the United Way and was very involved in local AA groups. Kay had a wonderful sense of humor who made the best of things. She was extremely kind and loved helping people as much as possible. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. Most of all, Kay loved being a mother and grandmother who was very proud of her family.
Kay is survived by her children, John Jay (Leona) of Waite Park, Katherine (Roger) Schmidt of St. Cloud, Laurie (Christopher) Howard of Bloomington, Zoe Ann (Wayne) Hall of Denver, CO; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1977; son, Bruce in 2007; grandson, Michael Pattison; sisters, Virginia Sorenson and Zoe Cone.
Memorials are preferred to St. Benedict's Center and First Presbyterian Church.
