Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids for Janell M. Schlueter-Bigler, age 54, who passed away Wednesday at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will be private at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.
Janell was born Nov. 4, 1958 in St. Cloud to Eugene & Mary Lou (Gratke) Trushenski. She graduated from Foley High School in 1977. Janell attended Brainerd Lakes Community College and received her nursing degree. She married John Charles Bigler on Aug. 7, 1999 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell. Janell was an LPN at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, Country Manor Health Care Center, St. Cloud Medical Group, and St. Benedict's Senior Community. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, knitting, quilting, and traveling. Janell was a loving mother who loved her job as a nurse and also loved her cat, Snickers.
Survivors include her husband, John Charles Bigler of Sauk Rapids; daughter, Kayla Costello of Franklin, KY; step-son, Brent Bigler of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; parents, Gene & Mary Lou Trushenski of Waite Park; brothers, Mark (Jackie) Trushenski of Clear Lake and Dale Trushenski of Buckman; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
