LeRoy Keeler, 83

LeRoy Keeler, age 83, of Santiago, MN, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the DVA Medical Center, St. Cloud.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Glendorado Lutheran Church, Glendorado, MN. The Rev. Barbara Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by the Glendorado VFW, Post 806.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley one hour prior to the service at the church. Prayers Services will be 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.

LeRoy Keeler was born January 1, 1930 in Santiago Township, Sherburne Co. to Edgar and Hannah (Halverson) Keeler. He married Rosella Kuklinski on June 9, 1956 at Santiago Methodist Church. LeRoy was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the 49'ers Union for over 30 years. He worked at NSP in Becker, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, spending time with the family and watching wildlife and nature. He was a member of the Glendorado Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to the donors choice, Glendorado Lutheran Church or the Humane Society.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella, Santiago, sons and daughter; Jordie (Mike Brady) Stay, Bowlus; Joey Lee (Linda Christen), Santiago; Larry 'Sam' (Michelle), Foley; sister, Beverly Derrick, Moundsview; brother, Gerald (Sheila), Big Lake; Darrell (Linda), Santiago; sister-in-law, Donna Keeler, Clear Lake; brother-in- law, Dan O'Connell, Ill; grandchildren, Cari Jankowski, Tony Stay, Sonya Stay, Elisha Borst, Cody Keeler, Sam Keeler, Abbie Keeler and Mitch Keeler; great-grandchildren; Stephan Jankowski, Anastasia Jankowski, Jordan Hartkopf and Soren Stay; Uncles, Clairmont Keeler and Raymond Halverson, many cousins and nieces and nephews and his dog, Gizzy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Basil; sister, Darlene O'Connell, grandparents, Ole and Clara Halverson and Ira and Violet Keeler.
