Ruth Maby Obituary
Ruth moved with her family in the third grade to Portsmouth where they lived for a short time before settling in Kittery Point, where she would finish school graduating with the class of 1941 from RW Traip Academy.
While in high school she met Edward Maby and in 1946 they would begin their over seventy year marriage. They built their home on Eliot Road in 1947 and began a family. Early in life she'd enjoyed time as a Brownie leader and Girl Scout leader for both the junior and senior scouts.
Ruth worked as a book keeper privately and at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as well as working at a local bank as a transit operator. She was a parishioner at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Kittery.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband Edward Maby of Kittery; daughter Fran Heath of Concord, N.H. and granddaughter Courtney Heath of Concord, N.H.; grandson Ryan Heath of Nashua, N.H. and great-grandson Harper Heath; a sister Dorothy J. Putnam of Florida. She was predeceased by a sister Miriam Callahan.
SERVICES: Services will be private. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Marks United Methodist Church. Care for the Maby family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.

Hard to believe it’s been three years since we lost Aunt Ruth. During 2020 she has been reunited with her sister ( Jean - mom) so I’m sure the antics have begun. All three sisters are our Angels in Heaven . All sadly missed.
