Betty Trice Obituary

Betty Jane (Bickford) Trice

Betty passed on August 30th at her home, of natural causes. She was born in Yakima on May 23, 1924. She grew up in Mason City while her father was an engineer during the construction of Coule;e Dam. Betty attended Washington State University, was a proud Coug and a charter member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. After graduation she moved to Texas where she met her husband Jim Trice. They moved to the Seattle area after starting their family. Upon retirement from the Shoreline school district she became a Master Gardener, receiving her Master Gardener designation from Wazzu. She enjoyed planning gardens for herself, family and friends. A member of the Snohomish Garden Club, an energetic mall walker and avid reader. She is survived by her three children; Jeri Trice, Sandi Hansen (Mark) and Jim Trice (Sandy), five grandchildren, one great grandchild and two younger brothers. No services at her request. Any remembrances may be made to Habitat for Humanity or a favorite charity.
