To The Family,
Mr Ahern was a father figure to me during the roughest times a junior high kid could go through, the divorce of my parents.
He always was there to encourage and guide me. I praise God and thank Him for sending Mr. Ahern into my life as a young man.
God Bless The Ahern Family & Legacy

Frank once remarked to me he had no concern over leaving expensive video equipment unlocked in his office because of the amazing trust he shared with his students.

Memories of Coach Ahern will always be with anyone that was fortunate enough to know him. Coach helped so many in a special way to bring all to their full potential. Practices were always long but couldn't top the enthusiasum Coach displayed.Franklin class of 1963.

Coach Ahern heard that I was Triple Jumping at Seattle Prep and sent my dad a bunch of information to help my technique. My dad and uncle always respected Coach Ahern for the kind of man he was. I wish I had the opportunity to actually play for him (in person) instead of by mail

You worked me hard when I was involved in gym class at Franklin High School, Mr. Ahern. At the time I thought I would never recover from the running and running and running. Looking back, I now understand you were always wanting the best out of me and to try a little harder. Thanks for pushing me when I didn't think I had any push left. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My father, Dr. Jim Layman, always spoke so highly of Mr. Ahern from his coaching days at Seattle Prep and he always consider him a true friend. I know they kept in touch a lot and we always followed Mr. Aherns great accomplishments. His legacy speaks volumes for the good he did for the number of students he taught and coached! Your family is in our thoughts and prayers
