David Brown Obituary

David L. Brown

David L. Brown, of Issaquah, died December 26, 2013 at Evergreen Hospice. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Brown was born on August 1,

1932 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Joseph and Lena Brown. He served 2 years in the United States Navy Reserve and 4 years in the United States Air force. After his honorable discharge, Mr. Brown attended Boise State College and College of Idaho. During his time in college he worked for the Blood Bank as a driver. He moved to the area in 1960, working for Becton Dickinson until he retired with a disability.

Mr. Brown enjoyed many hobbies, including radio airplanes, woodworking and enjoyed contemplating life on walks around the area. Later on in life he developed a passion and talent for cooking. Homemade Cincinnati Chile Dogs was one of his specialties. One of his favorite things to do was take the grandchildren to Lake Chelan on their Spring Break. During their time in Chelan, the grandchildren enjoyed bike riding, long walks, boating and when they got older, driving lessons by grandpa. These treasured memories are a source of great comfort and joy for each of the grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel; daughter Michelle Burnham (Greg); son Glen Brown (Sara); step-children Sandy Johnson (Bruce); Tammie Parkinson (Skip); his brother Jimmy and sister Joyce; five grandchildren: Meghan, Nicole, Steven, Conner and Katie; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests remembrances

David was my favorite uncle growing up. Even though I did not get to see him in his later years I loved him dearly and will miss him so much. He was so good with children, like a kid himself. Rest in pease uncle Dave. I'll always love you. Kim
