Wendy Kay Wootton (Bartholomew) Hellene
Wendy Kay Wootton (Bartholomew) Hellene born October 15, 1956 to Marlow and Viola Wootton in Lewiston, Idaho passed away Sunday, October 28th, 2012 after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. For many, Wendy was their Rock. Whether a friend for a few months or a lifetime, she embraced you as a part of her large, extended family. She was one of the most authentic, ethical human beings anyone had the good fortune to know. Wendy was an Associate Broker for Windermere for over 20 years. One of her greatest pleasures was receiving a card in the mail from a past client telling her how much they enjoyed their new home.
Wendy shared a love for travel with her Husband, David and her step-daughter Brooke. During their ten years together, they visited six continents. She was an unbelievably kind, generous, giving person. We watched her decorate her house every year for their Christmas party, gather up gifts hand-picked for everyone, and make all that delicious food. Everyone always had a wonderful time. She truly knew the meaning of Christmas, and had the spirit of giving inside her. A strong, selfless woman with a keen sense of humor, her determination is an inspiration to all of us.
Along with David & Brooke, Wendy is survived by her brothers, Marlow (Woody) & Andrea Wootton, Mike Wootton & Denise George, Mark & Laurie Wootton and sister Kathy & Bill Riley and their families.
Wendy will be buried at Sound View Cemetery on Marrowstone Island close to the cabin where she & David enjoyed spending time away. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances' to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

I was so sorry to hear of Wendy's passing. She was my real estate agent for many, many years. It was a pleasure working with her and getting to know what a kind, ethical and caring person she was. My condolences to her family.

Dear David, Brooke, and Wootton Family,
Such a great loss, and tender time for all of you. My prayers are with you. Wendy was so young. A life well-lived but not yet finished. A generous spirit with so much more to give and share with family and friends. Wendy's sweet voice and laugh will sing in my ears forever. Our friendship is forever etched on my heart and life. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.
Wendy Woo, my little friend, you fought a courageous battle and were an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace. Love and Hugs.
Always,
Your Friend

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Wendy in grade school, then lost touch for decades. When I first came to Prospect Congregational UCC, she recognized me and welcomed me warmly and generously. What a sweet, kind person she was!

Dear Wootton & Hellene families, I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
I met Wendy via Dave while working on the house remodel in Wedgewood. She left an impression on me as someone with a sharp intellegence, and also having good humor & wit.
I am reminded of Dave's telling of how much she loved to work on the landscape around her house & also of her love of celebrating the Holidays with family & friends. May we honor her life in the continuance of these things that brought her joy!
