Meehan, Irene Marie - Seattle

She was cared for by her husband Jack of 62 years, children Karen Wallace and Marty Meehan and Caregivers. She was in the Hospice Program for 5 months. Irene was born in Grass Valley, CA, raised in Sacto and was an R.N. following her co-founding of 'Me 'n O'Brien' Irish gift shop on Main St. in Bellevue. Jack's FBI employment had taken them to postings in Montana, Seattle and San Fran, but the Eastside was home for 26 years before they relocated to the CA desert. They travelled widely over the years in Norway, Europe, the Mid-east. While in the NW she was active and held office in the Bellevue Women' Club; was on the Design Committee of "Kirkland Downtown at the Lake" and was a core volunteer at Prosthetic Outreach Foundation. She was a model of beauty, courage, good humor, dignity and acquired numerous "Irene stories" that her family never let her forget. They had many boating adventures on the Straits and the San Juan Islands. She was our family treasure and had a smile that would light up a room. Grandchildren are Sloane and Meghan Meehan of Seattle; Kevin Saboori, Seattle and Michael Saboori of Sherman Oaks, CA. Sign Irene's online Guest Book at www.Legacy.com .

Maxey, Thomas L. - Seattle
Thomas L. Maxey Thomas Maxey went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2016. Tom was born on August 18, 1956 to Harold and Ruby Maxey in Spokane, WA. He was the youngest of the five Maxey boys. The Maxey family was hard working and well known in the Spokane Valley for their many businesses. Tom grew up with a strong work ethic that he carried into his twenty-nine year career at Boeing. He was a kind and generous man who believed that family and friends came before anything. His quick wit and genuine laugh made him very easy to love. He is so incredibly missed by so many people. Tom is survived by his wife, Lana, his kids Elizabeth Maxey, Katherine Maxey, Benjamin Maxey, Meagan Larson (Elliott), Brandon Elliott and his grandson Corbin. He is also survived by his big brothers, Clifford Maxey, Gary Maxey and Michael Maxey. Thank you to all of the friends and family that have supported his family during this difficult time.

Marinkovich, Donald Paul - Seattle
Donald Paul Marinkovich Don was born December 16, 1931 in Cathlamet, WA and passed away peacefully in Seattle on June 6, 2016 after a short illness. As a dedicated father, grandfather and friend he will be sorely missed by his sons, Charles, Stephen and Michael; partner, Shirley Petersen; daughter in law, Lisa; grandchildren, Jakob and Alexander. His sister, Tillie Zaborsky, survives him. Don grew up in Cathlamet, WA with his parents, Paul and Lucretia. His summers were spent fishing for salmon on the Columbia River with his father. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington in 1954. He was the president of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. During his studies Don met Shirley Stone and they were married shortly thereafter. Upon completing a portion of his legal studies at the University of Washington Law School, he entered the military, serving in the United States Army. Following completion of his military obligations, he returned to the University of Washington and finished his legal studies in 1959, earning a Bachelor of Law and Letters. Don spent the next 40 years as a maritime trial lawyer, earning the respect of maritime professionals and his opponents. He was a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, a longtime member of the Maritime Law Association and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Besides his family, Don's passion was spending time at the Seattle Golf Club (since 1974) playing golf and gin rummy. He also enjoyed playing dominoes at the Washington Athletic Club. His friends knew him as "The Bear". He was a gentle, quiet and kind man who always offered a smile and friendship. We will miss him very much.
