Alvin Reed Brown
Born December 30, 1937 to Reed and Vernice Brown of Seattle, WA. Died at home on July 12, 2013. His wife, Jean, daughter, Leanna Thomajan-Ons, son-in-law, Bart Ons, son, Stephen, daughter-in-law, Sahar Rezania, and grandchildren, Sorenna, Gabriel, and Christian survives him.
Al graduated from Ballard High School in 1956. He served in the Naval Air Reserve in Japan. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration in 1962. He founded NW Manufacturing with Jim DePhelps in 1968, where he served as president. Al retired in 1997 and moved to Whidbey Island where he pursued his hobbies of boating, fishing, woodturning, and metal forging.
A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Whidbey Evangelical Free Church, 874 Plantation Drive, Greenbank, WA 98253 360-222-3211. The celebration will start at 2 pm.
