Arnold "Arnie" Martin Jacobsen passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Monday, November 18, 2013, in Mount Vernon, WA. He was born March 15, 1927, in Staten Island, NY. He served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947 with the Company G 351 Infantry 8th Division and after his honorable discharge attended night school and began his 34 year career at Boeing. On August 21, 1954, he married the love of his life, Joan Wyatt, in Bremerton, WA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, classical music, writing, family camping trips and playing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed making toys in his workshop for his children and keeping a vegetable garden. His wit and humor often made friends and family laugh and the memories will be treasured by his family always. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan, and his brother, Peder, his children Mark, Chris, Ruth and Nils, grandchildren Katie, Samantha, Emily, Tina, Bret, Eric and Evan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arne and Agnes Jacobsen, and his brothers John and Rolf and sisters Ruth and Edith. In honor of Arnold's memory the family ask that you please donate to a .
