Arthur F. Richter

Arthur F. Richter of Seattle, WA passed away peacefully on March 26, 2014 at Kline Galland Nursing Home. Rick was born in Kearney, NE on January 3, 1920 to Philip and Eva Richter. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen (Cvitkovich) Richter after 64 memorable years of marriage. Rick served our country as a First Lieutenant in WWII and was an honored recipient of the Purple Heart, the Silver Star, and the Bronze Star. After serving his country, Rick devoted 39 years to Texaco as the Assistant Plant Manager of Sales. Rick enjoyed traveling with his wife, taking time to visit, and reflecting upon the many WWII battlefields in which he fought. Rick possessed a passion for gardening and telling stories. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many friends. A golden heart has stopped beating and hardworking hands are now at rest, but Rick's family vows to perpetuate and celebrate his wit, intelligence, and keen sense of humor. The family expresses gratitude to the staff of Kline Galland Nursing Home for the quality care provided to our dear Rick.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 9:00am to 10:00am, with Funeral Mass to follow, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4205 S. Orcas St., Seattle, WA. Following Mass, a Reception to celebrate Rick's life be held at Columbia Funeral Home. Full Military Honors and Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery following the Reception.
