Betty Ann Knittle

Betty was born in Seattle Washington to Anna Arntsen and LaVerne L. Smith on February 26th 1928. She grew up in the West Seattle and graduated from West Seattle High School. At 19, she got a job with Pacific Northwest Bell Phone Company. She remained in their employ till she retired after 37 years of service.

Betty was a very warm and generous person. Those that knew her knew that she always gave more than she received. Betty was an accomplished gardener, seamstress, baker, and dancer. Betty also loved music, cats and dogs.

Betty lived in her Gregory Heights home until Alzheimer's disease forced her to move to Aegis of Kent where she resided until her death on February 18th, 2013. Betty is survived by her brother Gwin Smith (Florene), niece Kristy Holts ( Bill), nephew Jay Smith (Gail), 2 grand nieces, 1 grand nephew, 1 great grand nephew, and 1 great grand niece.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 9th, 2013 at 4:00pm at the home of her nephew Jay Smith @ 20217 Marine View Drive S W Normandy Park Washington .
