Carol Anderson

Carol died peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 19, 2013, surrounded by family. Carol was born and raised in rural North Dakota. Carol graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and Deaconess Hospital School of Medical Technology.

Carol lived in North Dakota, Washington D.C., Arizona, Oregon and Washington. She spent most of her life in the Pacific Northwest. Carol worked for many years in the medical field as an educator, scientist, quality assurance and regulatory affairs personnel.

Carol loved to travel. She travelled to Norway, China, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Spain, Isreal, Egypt and Morocco. She loved genealogy, flowers, fashion and shopping at local merchants.

She was proud of her Norwegian Heritage. She was a member of the Sons of Norway, Leif Erickson Lodge and the Nordic Heritage Museum. On special occasions, Carol enjoyed wearing the traditional Norwegian Bunad (of Telemark).

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Oscar and Helga Anderson; her brother, Merlin Anderson; her nephew, Brent Anderson. Carol is survived by her nephew, Eric (Lisa) Anderson and family; and niece, Kimberly Ness and family; aunt, Grace Brietzke; uncle, Einer "Art" Anderson.

She formed strong and lasting friendships over her life. Her family is grateful for all of the love and kindness given to Carol in her life and at the end of her life. A private memorial service will be held in Seattle.
