Kaye Holman was born in Enterprise, Kansas. She was the only child of Lela and Louis Puryear. She grew up in Seattle and attended Roosevelt H.S. and the University of Washington where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Kaye married Colin Holman in 1941 and raised three children, Eloise, Kathy and Bill, in Rochester, MN. She and Colin were married for 67 years until his death in 2008.

Kaye passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 29, 2012. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Eloise and Bruce Zelk of Camano Island; her daughter, Kathy Holman, of Sandpoint, ID; and her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Diane Holman of Sandpoint, ID. She is also survived by her grandchildren Katie Wigal (Todd), Rob Zelk (Ashley) and Brigitte Yamamoto (Matt). Kaye has two great grandchildren as well, Addie and Colin Wigal. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kaye was a wonderful, caring person with a terrific sense of humor. She will be truly missed.

A family memorial will be held on November 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Acacia Cemetery in Seattle. Remembrances may be made to .
