David James Gallaher, 58, of Seattle, WA, passed away at his home Sept. 27, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Survivors include his son, David Gallaher, father Clinton (Red) Gallaher, sisters Linda Gallaher and Kaylie David, brother Douglas Gallaher, and caretakers Cherie Pierce and Michael Sheaffer. Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Gallaher. David was a proud and enthusiastic member of a large Irish family and never missed the annual Gallaher Family Reunion. David worked at Boeing's Everett Plant for more than 20 years. Over the past 15 years David was an outspoken advocate for state health care reform and volunteered with the citizens' action group Washington CAN!
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct.8, at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, followed by a funeral service at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave. W., Edmonds, at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. Memorial contributions may be made to ChildFund International at:www.childfund.org
