David Michael Kuhns

David Michael Kuhns, 65, a native of Fairbanks, Alaska and long-time Seattle resident, died September 22 of lung cancer.

David earned a BA degree in sociology from the Univ. of Montana and served in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He had retired as a caregiver at a facility for homeless people with mental illnesses.

David was a kind, thoughtful, and loyal brother and friend who built stereo sound systems including hand-made speakers in his spare time. He loved making speakers for friends. He was active in AA.

David is survived by his brother Shawn and sister-in-law Lori of Enumclaw, Washington; brother Howard and sister-in-law Kathy of Jupiter, Florida; brother Lawrence and sister-in-law Jane of Plymouth, Michigan; and nine nephews and nieces.

David's ashes were placed in a mausoleum at the Tahoma Veterans Cemetery in Covington, Washington. David's brother, Shawn, may be contacted at rskuhns@mytangledweb.com.
