Devora (Dolly) Turner

Devora (Dolly) Turner

Devora (Dolly) Turner passed away at her home this past week.

Throughout Dolly's 83-year journey, she approached life with creativity, enthusiasm, and vigor. Her talents were boundless, whether she was teaching art to school children in Guam, molding raw clay into pottery, helping a client buy their first home, or working with the Opera Guild. Dolly had a passion for travel and shared her adventures with friends and family.

Dolly's pursuits were diverse; as an artist, teacher, life-long student, counselor, real estate broker, and confidant. She was generous, loving, and giving. She truly made the most of her life, and was an inspiration to those around her.

Dolly was pre-deceased by her husband Les, and is survived by her sons, Peter (Phyllis), Tony (Rebekah) and Daniel (Marguerite); grandchildren, Alex, Lisa, and Thomas; her sister Arline, and brother Leon (Denise).

There will be a celebration of her life at her home on Saturday, Sept 14th, from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to: The Seattle Opera Guild, Pacific NW Ballet, or The Nature Conservancy.
