Doris Woodley Kelble, age 93, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 3, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, CA. She was born in Williston, North Dakota on June 2, 1919, but grew up in Seattle, Washington. Doris attended University of Washington
, graduated with a nursing degree and later worked as a nurse to an OBGYN doctor. Doris married Denton Kelble, an Executive with 3M Company. The couple lived in Grosse Point Farms, Michigan; Hinsdale, Illinois; and Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. In 1968 Doris and Denton moved to Hong Kong and travelled the world. In later years she moved back to Seattle, Washington where she developed many close relationships. Doris returned to nursing and was Director of Nursing at a nursing home in Seattle. She was a loving partner to Clyde Glessner who predeceased her. Doris was an avid bridge player, staunch Republican and voracious reader. Doris is survived by Lisa Crawford, her daughter, of San Ramon, CA.
