Earl Delbert Green

Earl Delbert Green died Dec 4, 2012, at age 98. He was born Jan 27, 1914, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Edward and Lillian Bertha Gratias Green. The family moved to Fargo, ND when Earl was a child and lived also in many small towns in Montana and Idaho before settling in Spokane, WA.

Earl was naturalized an American citizen in 1941 and joined the Navy in 1942, serving as an electrician's mate. He married in 1944 and in 1946 moved his family to Seattle, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He retired from Seattle City Light in 1984 at age 70 as the city's senior electrical foreman, after 34 years of service.

Earl and his first wife of thirty years, Laura Belle Larkin Green, had five children: Carolyn Owen of Provo, UT; Ken Green of Camas, WA; Cheryl Beers of Salmon, ID; Stan Green of Seattle; and Mark Green of Carlsbad, CA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his brother Glen Green of Spokane, WA, and sister Sylvia Green Garner of Malvern, PA.

He has four step-children from his second marriage, to Edith Carolyn Read Green: Duane Criddle of Boise, ID; Vesta Criddle of Seattle; Debbie McLaughlin of Colorado Springs, CO; and Mary Criddle of Seattle.

Friends may greet family members from 10-11 am on Tue, Dec 11, at the LDS Church, 5701 8th Ave NE, Seattle. Funeral services follow from 11-12 a.m. at the same location.
