Eleanor DuLong, 97, had a short bout with cancer and passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on April 19th. Mom was born March 9, 1916 in Seattle to Fred and Anna Yocum. She grew up in South Park, attended St. George's and graduated from Holy Names Academy in 1935. She met Arthur (Maury) DuLong Jr. and they were married in 1939, and raised their three children on Magnolia. She was one of the founding members of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She moved to Saint Luke Parish in 1958, and later retired from Fredrick and Nelson, Aurora Village. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur (Maury) in 2007, and her four sisters; Gladys, Mable, Betty, and Dorothy. Eleanor is survived by her brother Carl Yocum, children Art (Sandie) DuLong, Donna (Pierre) Wybo, and Sherrie (Randy) Porter. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. We would like to thank all her great neighbors for watching over her for so many years, Hospice of Seattle, and Gabriel who was her special angel the last few months.
