Gwendolyn G. White, age 82, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at her home. She was born in Seattle, WA on March 20, 1930 a daughter of the late E. Crawford and Lillian (Young) Goodwin.

Mrs. White was a graduate of Garfield High School in Washington State and attended the University of Washington where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.

She had been employed by St. Paul Savings and Loan in the Chicago, IL area as well as being a homemaker for her family.

Mrs. White was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Augusta where she served on the Altar Guild and was on the Board of Directors for St. Mark's Home for Woman.

She was pre-deceased by her sister, Lillian Cereghino.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband of 60 years, Peter C. White of Winthrop; two sons: Dr. Peter C. White, Jr. of Cleveland, OH and Rev. Edward G. White of Renton, WA; a daughter, Katherine R. White of Bellingham, WA as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no public visiting hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 3 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Summer St., Augusta, ME. Burial will be held in Washington State at a later date.
