Jacqueline Blanche Davesne JAUREGUI
Born on October 6, 1933 in St. Savine, France, passed away on March 14, 2013. She saw WW II up close. Girls' College was her environment in earning her Baccalaureate. Life with her young friends was fun, hitch hiking across France and Spain to the beaches, and dancing. Speaking very good English she was employed at an American Air Base where she caught the eye of a young pilot, who took her into the life of a military wife. She accompanied him around the world always supporting, never faltering, never complaining. She was the backbone of her family which grew with their two children. Despite raising two children much of the time by herself, she found time to paint and start a small business. Her paintings still grace the walls of their home. The card game Bridge opened a new chapter in her life. After the military she focused her energy on Bridge, her home, and cooking gourmet meals for the family and her parties. Her Bridge game improved and was soon competing against nationally ranked players. Health issues eventually confined her to a Hospice Bed, which devastated her because she could no longer compete in the Bridge World. Her goal was to become a Gold Life Master, but was a couple of hundred points short. With her indomitable spirit and from her bed she started competing on the internet and although a computer illiterate she mastered the process and after months of day and night playing attained her goal. Her heart was open to everyone and made so many friends along her life's path. Jacqueline is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Carole, son Donald, grandsons, Danny and Jason, and brother Daniel.
