Jean Takeko Sakahara

August 8, 1925-February 12, 2013

Survived by son, Steve, Lynnwood; daughter, Karen; daughter-in-law, Shirley; granddaughter, Lauren, Bellevue; sister, Fusako Mito; sister-in-law, Kiyoko Terao.

Jean is the daughter of Shizuto & Asano Terao. The Terao family moved to Salt Lake City during WWII returning to Seattle after the war. While out bowling she met Ted "Hippo" Sakahara. In 1951 they married and were together for 43 happy years. Jean enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening, church, eating sweets, and spending time with her granddaughter Lauren.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10AM Saturday Feb 23 at Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church, 3001 24th Ave South, Seattle. A viewing will be held 3 PM to 6PM Friday Feb 22 at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 1732 Broadway, Seattle.
