Jeffrey Charles Kozlowski

January 21, 1971 ~ January 30, 2013

Jeff Kozlowski, 42, passed away unexpectedly on January 30th, 2013 from natural causes.

Jeff was a graduate of the University of Washington and remained at the University to do research after graduation. In 1998, Jeff and a partner left the University to start the bioinformatics company, Neobase, where he was Chief Technology Officer and Founder. PerkinElmer ultimately purchased the product Jeff helped to develop. He was a Senior Software Design Engineer at PerkinElmer until his untimely death. Jeff had a very gentle, down to earth and laid back style that made him many friends over the years. Generous to a fault, he would do anything he could to help his friends and family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed biking, hiking, camping and especially traveling, with China being his favorite destination. Jeff was a beloved son, brother, friend and coworker and leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all those who came to know, and love Jeffrey Charles Kozlowski. Though his time on this earth was short, Jeff was able to accomplish so much in his short life and leaves behind a very proud family that is grateful for what time they did get to spend with him. Jeff is survived by his mother Linda Kozlowski, his brother Matthew Kozlowski, stepfather Bill Supak; Sister in Law Cheryl Monke, and Aunt and Uncle Joan and Ron Runnion and their family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.

A celebration of his life is planned in Seattle for mid February.
