Judy Norehad

Judy Norehad, born August 9th, 1940 in Boise, Idaho died on January 29th, 2013. Raised in Berkeley, CA she attended the University of California at Berkeley and graduated with a degree in English literature. While spending summers at her grandparents' cabin in Indianola, WA, she developed a love of the Pacific Northwest.

She eventually moved to the Seattle area in 1968, where she met and fell in love with Dr. Ernest Norehad. They were married in 1970 and had three sons, Paul, Chris and Matt.

Judy had a passion for gardening, playing bridge and swimming with her dogs in Lake Washington. She devoted much of her time volunteering for the Overlake Service League, working in their store in Bellevue Square.

Judy survived a battle with breast cancer in 2001, but eventually lost a long struggle with emphysema. The family invites you to celebrate her life with them at 3pm on Saturday, February 2nd at the Overlake Golf and Country Club in Medina. Remembrances in her name may be given to the Overlake Service League (now Bellevue LifeSpring) or the Halverson Cancer Center.
