Katherine Louise Wright (Kay) passed away peacefully Jan 14th, 2013, surrounded by family. Kay was born in Aberdeen, WA on July 3, 1920. Leaving Aberdeen after graduating from Weatherwax High School, she settled and worked primarily as a secretary in Seattle until retirement in 1983.

Besides working full time, she raised 4 children, while managing a loving home. After retirement she did not slow down, traveled extensively with her husband, Jim, and was active in several clubs, including being an officer many years for the Daughters of Penelope, a Greek Womens' organization.

Kay was married to Jim for nearly 57 years, who passed away in 2001. Kay leaves her daughters, Jackie, Janet and husband Carl, and sons, Jim and his wife Jere, Jerry and his partner Diana. Also included are Kay's grandchildren, Nora and husband Ty, Eddie and his wife Cody, Mathew and his partner Louise, Adria and her husband Antoine, Andrew and Carolyn. In addition, Kay has 8 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Kay's life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home, 3909 SW Alaska St., Seattle, WA, 98116.
