Larry Roy Rosberg

Larry Roy Rosberg

Larry Rosberg passed away on February 12, 2013 in Glendale, AZ following complications from open heart surgery.

Larry was a lifelong resident of the Seattle area before his retirement. He recently moved to Phoenix. Larry was born in Seattle on September 14, 1943 to Roy and Shirley Rosberg. He grew up in Ballard and attended Ballard High School. He joined the US Marine Corps and served there for several years during the Vietnam War. Larry's career path led him to become a Teamster's Business Representative, a job which he enjoyed very much. He retired from the Teamster's Union in 1995.

Larry had a passion for life, motorcycles, classic cars, his three Bulldogs and just savoring life in all its different forms. His longtime companion was Joey Weinmeister who joined him in Arizona after his move there. Larry leaves behind many friends and family members, including sisters Judy Carpenter of Spokane and Joan Zielinski (Stan) of Auburn as well as many nieces, nephews, and daughters Justine Reis and Gayline Vernon and four grandchildren.

We all loved this larger than life bear of man who lived his life to the fullest. He was a legend in our family.

Interment will be at Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park in Seattle and a celebration of Larry's life will be held at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations in Larry's name be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle at http://www.fhcrc.org/.

We will miss you and

love you always, Larry.
