Leslie Ann Charles

Leslie Ann Charles

Leslie Ann Charles, a member of Saint Bridget Church, passed away quietly on December 27, 2012 at Kindred Arden Nursing Home in North Seattle. She was the daughter of Raymond Charles and Shirley Murphy and was very proud of her Irish-French heritage. Leslie had a kidney transplant in 1968 and was one of the longest recipients on record. She struggled with pain all her life and liked to say, "I am a double Scorpio on steroids!"

She had many interests including making rosaries for the Catholic children at Childrens' Hospital. She loved animals, especially dogs - training and walking with them. She felt her true calling was tending to the elderly.

Memorial services were held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on January 9th, 2013. Donations can be made in her name to the Carmelite Sisters' Convent, 2215 NE 147th, Seattle, WA 98155 or to the Kidney Center, 548 15th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122.

Leslie will be greatly

missed by all who knew her.
