Age 95, passed away peacefully June 8, 2012 with her family's loving presence. Born August 6, 1916, Seattle, WA to Lew Geate Kay & Rosaline L. Goon Kay, her maternal grandfather Chinese Consul Goon Dip & paternal grandfather Lew King were pioneers in Seattle's Chinese community. Graduated Broadway H.S. (1934), attended Univ of WA prior to study abroad at Lingnan Univ, Canton, China (1935-37), returned to UW earning B.A. (1940). Obtained M.S., Hygiene & Physical Education from Wellesley College & taught performing arts at Monticello College (1942). Married Young Bok Lee, DDS, in Cambridge, MA, March 30, 1946. Marjorie is survived by children Randall Kay Lee (William Wade), Sheryl Lee Chiang (Norm), Thomas Young Lee (Serena-deceased); 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grand-children; brother Richard Lew Kay (Helen); numerous nephews/nieces. Preceded in death by her husband; brothers Lawrence & Wallace Lew Kay. Celebration of Marjorie's life on Monday, June 25, at 12pm, Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Pl SE, Bellevue.
