Mary Josephine King

Mary was born March 10, 1914 and died December 29, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin J. King and daughter, Catherine Strickland.

Mary is survived by Joseph Candito (Carolyn), Linda Bays, Vicki Smith (Dan), Paul Koch (Rhonda) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mary died quietly in her sleep surrounded by many loving family members.

She belonged to many organizations, she was a life-time member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Seattle Sons of Italy, West Side Italian Club, and 751 Boeing Retirees Club.

She started working at Boeing in 1942 and on and off until her retirement in 1976. Upon retirement she became Travel Coordinator for the 751 Boeing Retiree's Club actively participating and volunteering for over 20 years.

Mary's love of life circled around all her social activities, friends, family and gatherings and her and Mel's love of travel and visiting countries around the world.

A Celebration of Life will be held January 12, 2013, 1:00 p.m., 751 Machinist Hall, 9125 15th Pl. South, Seattle, WA 98108.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, the angels who helped care for her to the very end, 2731 Wetmore Ave., Suite 500, Everett, WA 98201.
