Paul Stanley Milnes

Paul Stanley Milnes

1/14/1955 ~ 3/6/2013

Paul left this world on March 6, passing peacefully at home, in a room overflowing with love, surrounded by family, friends and of course all his cats. Paul lived all over the US, notably in Seattle, Friday Harbor, Hawaii and Texas. Paul Milnes was a man's man. He worked as a building contractor and had a background in law enforcement. But if you ask anyone who knew Paul, the first thing they'll mention is what a big heart he had. Paul loved and was a friend to all animals, but especially cats. When he moved to Texas several years ago he found Shadow Cats Sanctuary and became a volunteer and friend. We have lost a shining star and heaven has gained one. The hole in our hearts will never be filled, but we're comforted by the thought that he was greeted by all the cats who arrived before him- and no doubt met him with purrs and hugs. Paul is survived by the love of his life, Jonelle Dontos, his mother Virginia Milnes, siblings Robert (Karen), Philip (Gretchen and his nieces and nephew) and Margaret. A memorial service and interment will be held on April 20th at Shadow Cats in Round Rock, TX. Paul loved being near the water, and the sound of the flowing creek will be a comfort to him and all that loved him. Donations in Paul's honor can be made to shadowcats.net where you can see a tribute to Paul.
