Peter Finden was born and raised in Glenwood, MN. He attended the University of Minnesota
on math scholarships and went on to obtain a Masters in Metallurgical Engineering. At university he met the love of his life Charlotte and they married in 1962. They subsequently moved from Minnesota to Seattle where Peter worked at Boeing. After riding through periods of layoffs, Peter went back and obtained an MBA from the University of Washington
. In 1976 Peter began working for Wah Chang and the family moved to Albany, OR. At Wah Chang, Peter worked on a number of projects including work with Oregon Health Sciences on producing temperature sensitive wires for medical procedures. He also produced a titanium baseball bat that was quickly ruled out of leagues due to its unusually large sweet spot. His personal time was spent on raising his family and golfing. Peter retired in 1996. In 1998 they sold their place and moved to a beautiful log house on the Olympic peninsula. Charlotte passed in 2001, but Peter remained in their home working on various personal projects until his passing this week in Bremerton, WA at the age of 74.
